In response to the needs of the civil reality in North and East Syria, and as a result of the dialogues and discussions that took place among representatives of several active organizations in North and East Syria, which lasted for several months, we found ourselves in front of the responsibility of crystallizing and coordinating our efforts to reach a better civil reality, which assumes its societal responsibilities through cooperation and creating  A common space among us and based on our belief (we as the organizations affiliated with this coalition) to work collectively, in order to establish a civil reality capable of adopting the issues of individuals and population groups without any discrimination.  In addition, this coalition seeks to improve and develop the reality of our societies, and to formulate visions, ideas and attitudes, to present and express them in a more organized and consistent manner with the cultural, ethnic and social diversity that enriches our region.

 Among the goals of the coalition :

  1. Strengthening democracy by enhancing the participation of civil society organizations, building their capacities and empowering them to exercise their oversight role on the system of governance.
  2. promotion of good local governance in a way that ensures the promotion of transparency, accountability, the rule of law and pluralism at the political, economic and social levels.
  3. Exchange of information and knowledge among organizations and strengthening effective cooperation among them.
  4. advocating issues related to North and East Syria at the local, national and international levels.
  5. Contributing to the formulation of the policies of donors and international bodies and directing them in line with specific sectors of general priority for all male and female citizens in North East Syria.
  6. strengthening the role of women in the civil judiciary through contradicting discrimination based on the gender and combating violence against women.
  7. the establishment of the concept of respect and acceptance of the other and the eliminating all forms of discrimination based on race, color, gender, language, religion, national or social origin, and so on.

Some Of The Activities Carried Out By Organizations Affiliated With The Coalition Of Civil Society Organizations In North And East Syria During The Month Of August 2022 :

Closing activity of a culture project for a post-war city for Vision Organization:

Part of the final activity of a culture project for a city that lives after the war, which was carried out by the Vision Organization in partnership with the RealtimeAid organization, which is concerned with revitalizing the cultural movement in the city of Raqqa by adopting and refining one hundred young talents in plastic art ( lead drawing – watercolor drawing ) and the literary side (poetry – story – theater). The festival was a product of the training they received during the project period.

Completion of the capacity building initiative in Al Diyar Association:                                                                                                                     

Al-Diyar Association completed the capacity building initiative of 20 trainees from the youth category in the field of informatics, an office package or initial maintenance for computers ,They were trained in Al-Diyar Association Hall, where community members in Raqqa participated in the training youth category (males, females, displaced and residents) to develop and improve their capacities in the field of literacy and in the field of informatics for two months.

The conclusion of the first training course for the greenhouse profession (Sanabel Afaq 2 project):

New Horizons has completed the first training course for the greenhouse profession within the Sanabel Afaq 2 project at the New Horizons Vocational and Technical Training Center, and they have successfully obtained the vocational and technical training certificate for the greenhouse profession. Training bags were delivered for afforestation and entry into the labor market.

 

The Syrian Women’s Council participates in an exhibition of works:

 

invitation from the People in Need Organization, Al-Raqqa Center for the Syrian Women’s Council participated in the exhibition of the organization’s work, which includes several sections, including sewing, food industries, computer design and media, car electricity, plastic carpentry and other works that benefit the community in addition to a simplified explanation and definition of this organization and works in all regions.

A project for agricultural empowerment and improvement of local community services:

Team of Al Hadaf to conduct a questionnaire in the targeted areas in the towns of Mansoura, Al-Hamam and Hunaida To identify the beneficiaries according to the weakness criteria agreed upon within the project, through meetings and visits For cotton, olive and vegetable farmers, 135 farmers will be supported and provided with agricultural inputs in addition to train them on modern irrigation and agriculture methods, while providing technical follow-up throughout the project period.

A new phase of the project Mana and Biena:

Within the project Mana and Biena, the Emaar Mansoura Organization held its training to empower women from the resident, displaced and host community. The project aims to teach women the stages of manufacturing yoghurt and labneh in a practical and scientific way; this is what the trainer taught the trainees (the profession of cheese and dairy).

 

Conclusion of the story creation sessions within the project happy summer:

Shawishka association held the last session of creating stories within the project happy summer which aims to develop children’s creative skills and motivate them to write and read stories Because it helps them express their thoughts And it opens doors for their creativity, as the coach provided a set of tips for children to improve their writing style And in the way they tell their stories in front of the audience with high confidence to be the projects of future writers.
